The 21-second spot shows him taking chicken finger orders at the restaurant and raises questions about his potential political future.  AL.com

SPORTS NEWS

  • Auburn retired Cam Newton’s No. 2 jersey at halftime during Saturday night’s game against Georgia, honoring his role in leading the Tigers to a national title season. Newton is the fourth player to be honored and his jersey now joins untouchable numbers from Pat Sullivan, Terry Beasley — and Bo Jackson.  WAKA
  • High school football games on October 9-10 featured strong wins across divisions, including Auburn’s 38-0 win over Smiths Station and key victories by Enterprise, Central-Phenix City, and Baldwin County — the scores underscore competitive showings statewide.  WAKA
  • On Oct. 11, Auburn lost 20-10 to No.10 Georgia after a fumble at the goal line shifted the game. Head coach Hugh Freeze said the mistake hurt the Tigers as Georgia scored the winning points in the second half—Auburn will host No.14 Missouri next Saturday.  WAKA
