- ➤ Auburn retired Cam Newton’s No. 2 jersey at halftime during Saturday night’s game against Georgia, honoring his role in leading the Tigers to a national title season. Newton is the fourth player to be honored and his jersey now joins untouchable numbers from Pat Sullivan, Terry Beasley — and Bo Jackson. WAKA
