- ➤ Funeral arrangements have been announced for Dr. Julie Gard Schnuelle, a retired Auburn University professor killed in an assault at Kiesel Park—her memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 13 at First Baptist Church of Opelika—followed by a visitation period until 3:30 p.m. WAKA

- ➤ Lee-Scott's Preston Huguley was named O-A News Player of the Week after he caught eight passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns in the 47-19 win over Childersburg. His performance helped Lee-Scott improve to a 3-0 overall record and 1-0 in region play. Opelika-Auburn News
