  • Funeral arrangements have been announced for Dr. Julie Gard Schnuelle, a retired Auburn University professor killed in an assault at Kiesel Park—her memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 13 at First Baptist Church of Opelika—followed by a visitation period until 3:30 p.m.  WAKA

  • Lee-Scott's Preston Huguley was named O-A News Player of the Week after he caught eight passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns in the 47-19 win over Childersburg. His performance helped Lee-Scott improve to a 3-0 overall record and 1-0 in region play.  Opelika-Auburn News
  • The Auburn Tigers swept the Virginia Cavaliers 3-0 in the inaugural Showdown at the Net — winning with scores of 25-17, 25-16, and 25-21 at Neville Arena in front of a home crowd. The win boosted the team as they prepare to face Florida State on Friday, September 12th.  The Auburn Plainsman
