  • The Salvation Army Lee County Service Center is recruiting bell ringers for its annual Red Kettle Campaign—an effort to collect donations for local services. Volunteers are needed to support this community fundraising drive.  Opelika-Auburn News

  • Auburn University's Campus Dining is set to expand with a build-your-own power bowl spot at Tiger Zone and a new multi-stall expansion under The Edge—featuring a deli, Mediterranean stall and noodle shop—to help ease long wait times. Glenn Loughridge said the changes will start in the 2026-27 school year as the campus adjusts to growing dining demands.  The Auburn Plainsman
  • Auburn’s annual Letters to Santa program gives local children the chance to send letters to Santa and receive a reply by Christmas. The mailboxes at the Harris Center, Boykin Community Center and Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center will be open from Nov. 17 to Dec. 15 — providing a festive way for kids to practice writing while enjoying a time-honored holiday tradition.  The Auburn Plainsman

  • Interim head coach DJ Durkin is uniting the Auburn football team as he vies for the permanent job—he recently met with players’ families to discuss his long-term plans. Athletic director John Cohen plans to announce a hire after the Iron Bowl on Nov. 29, with Durkin among four candidates including Tulane’s Jon Sumrall, Missouri’s Eli Drinkwitz and Vanderbilt’s Clark Lea.  AL.com
