SPORTS NEWS

  • Head Coach Hugh Freeze remains at Auburn as the team sits at a three to four record after four straight losses this season. Critics note that despite strong recruiting—evidenced by back-to-back top 10 signing classes—his overall record of 14 to 18 and a potential 15.4 million-dollar buyout have many questioning his future ahead of the upcoming game against Arkansas.  AL.com
  • Defensive lineman Corey Howard flipped his commitment from Georgia to Alabama after posting on social media from Tuscaloosa following the Crimson Tide’s 37-20 win over Tennessee — making him one of 23 players in the 2026 recruiting class ranked No. 3 nationally. He had been committed to Georgia since June before his switch.  AL.com
  • AL.com invites Alabama football fans to vote for the best 7A running back in 2025 — the poll will close on November 9 at 11:59 p.m. Central and the top players will be featured in a fans’ all-star team.  AL.com
  • After a fourth straight loss on Saturday, Auburn football said starting center Connor Lew is out for the season due to a torn ACL from the Missouri game—he had started for three years and was seen as a top NFL pick. True freshman center Kail Ellis, who played in that game, will start his first college match when Auburn faces Arkansas at 11:45 a.m. on the SEC Network this Saturday—marking his debut on the field.  AL.com
  • Auburn will face Arkansas in Fayetteville in an SEC matchup as the Tigers look to break a four-game losing streak while the Razorbacks, now 2-5 in the season, struggle for a conference win. Arkansas, led by interim coach Bobby Petrino, has a top national offense—yet its weak defense might let Auburn find its spark in the game.  AL.com
