- ➤ On Sept. 24, the Office of Sustainability partnered with the Ralph Brown Draughon Library Innovation and Research Commons to host Create and Cultivate—an event held from 5 to 7 p.m. that let participants turn old mugs into planters with herbs to boost sustainability. The Auburn Plainsman
- ➤ Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be held Oct. 4 at the new Environmental Services Complex on Wire Road for residents to safely throw away items — such as paint and old car batteries — that might hurt people and city workers. - ➤ Alabama confirmed its 911 system was not affected when outages hit Louisiana and Mississippi Thursday afternoon — AT&T fiber optic lines were cut in those states, causing several hours of downtime. AL.com
- ➤ Auburn freshman Brilyn Hollyhand announced his 'One Conversation at a Time' campus tour with Turning Point USA on Sept. 19 to honor late TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk and encourage political engagement among college students—he reviewed death threats with Auburn Campus Security before a successful stop at the University of Arkansas on Sept. 25 and will visit Auburn University on Oct. 6 along with other campuses.
