- ➤ Retired Auburn University professor emerita Dr. Julie Gard Schnuelle was found dead in Auburn’s Kiesel Park on Saturday — authorities have classified her death as a homicide and are investigating the case. Opelika-Auburn News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Auburn's women's soccer team closed out non-conference play on September 1st with a 5-0 home win over FGCU after a 2-0 victory against Utah Valley, with head coach James Armstrong praising the team's 26 shots that limited FGCU to six. - ➤ Even with starting running back Damari Alston sidelined with a shoulder injury, Auburn’s running backs stepped up at home against Ball State as Jeremiah Cobb rushed for a career-high 121 yards on 11 carries and scored two long touchdowns—one in the first quarter.
