  • State troopers said a Sea-Doo crash on Lake Martin’s Little Kowaliga Creek injured a 12-year-old Sunday around 1:00 p.m. when the operator towing another child hit a causeway—he was flown by helicopter to a hospital as investigators review the incident.  WAKA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Auburn Mayor Ron Anders will give his 7th annual State of the City address on Oct. 2 at the Gogue Center—doors open at 5 p.m.—and the talk starts at 5:30 p.m. He will review Auburn's challenges and successes from last year before presenting the Lamplighter Awards to local community members whose names have not been released in advance.  Opelika-Auburn News
