- ➤ The Southern Christian Patriots finished last season with a 7—4 record and a runner-up finish in the Division II championship as they started 2025 with a 35—6 win over the Mississippi Tornadoes in Gatlinburg. The team will play its home games at Moore Stadium and count on leaders such as senior center Gabe Phinney and junior defensive end Toby Miller to boost their season. The Observer
- ➤ Auburn now calls its football team a nine-time national champion after adding titles from 1910, 1914, 1958 and 2004 to wins recognized from 1913, 1957, 1983, 1993 and 2010.
