Woof Ave, a pet rescue at 1027 Opelika Road, received an eviction notice on July 30 that requires it to vacate by Sept 30 due to building deterioration, forcing owner Jonna Threadgill to look for a new location amid zoning challenges and slower adoptions.

The community has stepped up with 40 adoptions in a week and a GoFundMe raising over $6,500—helping many pets find new homes.

Auburn will retire former quarterback Cam Newton's No. 2 jersey this fall during a home game against rival Georgia on Oct.
