EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Auburn University alum Samuel Ginn—through his Ginn Family Foundation—has donated $30M to establish a scholarship program for engineering students facing financial challenges. The program will offer up to 40 annual awards to students from Title I high schools who show leadership and share the Auburn Creed. Opelika-Auburn News
- ➤ The new 2025 to 2026 school year will start in our area on dates ranging from August 4 for Perry County Schools to August 11 for Covington County and Selma City Schools, with Auburn City Schools beginning on August 8 (schedules vary by district). WAKA
