- ➤ Auburn police are investigating after student Christian Smaw died on June 26 when his car hit a train at the Gay Street crossing—his roommate Jeffrey James said Smaw was a joyful person and noted that a fundraiser in his memory has now raised over $30,000. Opelika-Auburn News
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Korea Fuel Tech America is investing $4 million to expand its facility at Auburn Technology Park South and will hire 17 workers to produce eco-friendly fuel parts that help reduce air emissions—these parts power vehicles from major automakers.
