- ➤ Auburn athletic director John Cohen said the university will pay athletes by investing $20.5 million and adding 113.8 scholarships at a cost of $5.49 million. The plan will go into effect on July 1 following the House settlement approved on June 6 (securing direct revenue sharing for Auburn athletes). AL.com
- ➤ On Friday at Plainsman Park, Auburn lost a historic super regional opener 7-6 in extra innings after overcoming a five-run deficit until Coastal Carolina hit four home runs—Caden Bodine’s game-winning homer in the top of the 10th broke the tie.
