- ➤ Downtown Opelika hosted the 11th Annual Burger Wars on Saturday where chefs competed in three divisions for trophies, cash awards & the crowd favorite title as food lovers sampled dozens of burgers. A relay race between Opelika and Auburn fire departments added to the excitement while the event’s proceeds benefited local nonprofits. WAKA

- ➤ Former Auburn pitcher Steven Register, who was given a year to live, will receive a liver transplant from his former high school classmate Kristin Johnston (who volunteered as a living donor) nine days from today at Strong Memorial Hospital in New York. AL.com

- ➤ Today the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026 ballot will be released and include 26 Auburn players while 19 additional eligible alumni remain outside the ballot—totaling 45 potential Hall of Famers from Auburn as selections follow NCAA guidelines and regional committee votes. AL.com
- ➤ Auburn beat NC State 11-1 yesterday at Plainsman Park to clinch a Super Regional berth, marking their first appearance since 2022. The Tigers will face No. 13 Coastal Carolina next weekend as they aim to reach the College Baseball World Series. The Auburn Plainsman
