  • Hewitt-Trussville High School clinched the Class 7A state baseball title with an 8-0 win against Auburn Friday, May 22 at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium in Jacksonville, Ala — following a softball state championship win less than 10 hours earlier. It was the first baseball-softball sweep since 2019.  AL.com
  • Auburn basketball may see roster changes as the NCAA reviews new eligibility rules that could block international transfers. Center Narcisse Ngoy has already signed after standout play in France while guard Mantas Rubštavičius awaits his commitment.  AL.com
  • Auburn football secured eight pledges in the 2027 recruiting class at Big Cat Weekend, including three four-star prospects, and currently ranks 30th nationally in recruiting and eighth in the SEC. The team expects more blue-chip prospects as official visits begin soon.  AL.com
