GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Downtown parking is free from May 1 to 15 during Auburn University's break between spring and summer semesters, available on-street and at designated lots; voter registration also closes Monday. Residents should check requirements to take advantage of these official services (valid registration is required).  The Auburn Villager

SPORTS NEWS

  • Auburn's girls soccer team beat Enterprise by a score of 7 to 0 in the AHSAA playoff on Wednesday (record now 13 wins, 3 losses and 2 ties).  AL.com
  • Auburn is spending over $300 million on Jordan-Hare Stadium north endzone renovations to add premium seating, dining and multipurpose student spaces this summer; Coach Golesh said the upgrade shows strong commitment that he hopes will boost recruiting for the 2027 class.  AL.com
  • Brewbaker Tech will debut on the football field next fall in Auburn under head coach Justin Hannah, a Tuskegee Hall of Fame inductee and former NFL player (he most recently served as a defensive analyst at Tennessee State).  WAKA
