- ➤ Auburn City Schools approved Tiffani Croley as the new principal of Ogletree Elementary School during its (Tuesday) board meeting. Croley will begin her role next term. Opelika-Auburn News
- ➤ The Auburn City Schools Board of Education approved Josh Harry as the new principal of Yarbrough Elementary School during its Tuesday meeting (a regular board session) in Auburn. Opelika-Auburn News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The French government is calling for the release of 86-year-old Marie-Therese Ross (an Alabama resident detained on April 1 after overstaying her visa) amid concerns over her health, with the New Orleans Consul General reporting frequent visits to secure proper care. AL.com
- ➤ Gov. Kay Ivey signed several bills today to improve ambulance services and rural health. The laws enable EMS providers to receive payment for treat-in-place calls and expand healthcare options for rural providers (including SNAP restrictions on sugary foods) to boost service coordination.
