  • Stone Martin Builders in Opelika is recovering from its July 2024 headquarters fire and will hold a grand opening in early July at a new building at 107 N 9th St—new furniture and finishing touches are still awaited. The company thanked community supporters for helping it rebuild and remain a key part of Lee County.  Opelika-Auburn News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Auburn University announced that campus dining is expanding with summer renovations at The Edge to create a frictionless convenience store opening this fall and a three-stall food hall set for fall next year — the board of trustees approved an $800,000 project for the new space. Next school year the Wellness Kitchen will open to all students so they can use meal swipes or dining dollars for breakfast and lunch.  The Auburn Plainsman

SPORTS NEWS

  • Six Carver High School football players signed college football scholarships on April 11th+ all six secured an opportunity to play college football+ they will join college teams next season.  WAKA
  • Friday night, the Auburn Tigers beat No. 20 Georgia Bulldogs by a score of 11 to 10 after KK McCrary hit a walk-off two-run homer that secured their third SEC win of the season. The game featured key plays+ a 30-minute weather delay, and the Tigers will face Georgia again today at 3:30 p.m. on SEC Network+.  The Auburn Plainsman
