  • Gov. Ivey delivered her Easter message from the Governor’s Mansion on Apr. 3, focusing on hope & renewal through scripture; after spending two nights at Baptist Medical Center South, she plans to return to work at the Capitol for the legislature's closing days.  WAKA

SPORTS NEWS

  • Auburn defeated Illinois State 88-66 on Thursday night to earn a spot in the NIT championship game. Head coach Steven Pearl credited his team's early rhythm and strong defense—especially the standout plays from Tahaad Pettiford and Keyshawn Hall—and noted his senior night attire as a good luck charm.  The Auburn Plainsman
  • Alabama Athletic Director Greg Byrne has called for an end to the SEC Championship Game, arguing that the event has run its course given plans for an expanded playoff in future seasons. The College Football Playoff will remain at 12 teams next season as discussions continue.  WAKA
