CULTURE NEWS

  • The Native American and Indigenous Alliance is hosting a Spring Cultural Festival at Auburn University to celebrate Native American culture—showing traditional customs for the community.  Opelika-Auburn News
  • Auburn’s Outreach Global Office at Auburn University will host its fourth annual Global Community Day Festival on April 5 on Cater Lawn. The free event will feature arts and crafts, food trucks, and a fashion exhibition to celebrate cultural diversity in Lee County.  The Auburn Plainsman

HEALTH NEWS

  • Frito-Lay recalled a limited number of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips sold in 13 states due to the risk of an undeclared milk allergen; bags with UPC 28400 52848 and a guaranteed fresh date of May 20 can be returned or discarded by those with dairy allergies as advised by the company—no allergic reactions have been reported.  AL.com

SPORTS NEWS

  • Over the weekend Auburn softball faced No. 4 Florida at home — losing each game in the series. The Tigers lost 10-0 on Saturday and 4-3 on Sunday and will play Kentucky on Friday at John Cropp Stadium at 5:30 p.m.  Eagle Eye TV
  • Bruce Pearl transformed Auburn’s basketball program when he took over in 2014, turning a team with six straight losing seasons into a national contender that reached the Final Four. Led by National Player of the Year candidate Johni Broome and coming off an Elite Eight win over Michigan State, the Tigers will compete in their second Final Four - they will seek a championship win on Saturday.  The Auburn Plainsman
