EDUCATION NEWS

  • Pi Sigma Alpha returned to permanent status at Auburn University on March 17 after being inactive during the Covid-19 pandemic— it now welcomes all students interested in political science topics and related fields. Undergraduates who meet academic criteria may join the honor society while other students can join the club component to build community connections.  The Auburn Plainsman

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Sunday, Auburn Men’s Basketball defeated the Michigan State Spartans 70—64 in Atlanta—Johni Broome scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to help the Tigers earn a spot in the Final Four for only the second time. Auburn will face the Florida Gators on Saturday, April 5 at 5:09 p.m. in San Antonio as the team continues its NCAA Tournament run.  Eagle Eye TV
  • Coach Bruce Pearl—after his team won in the Elite Eight—cut down the nets in Atlanta; his win—sending his team to the Final Four—marked a key step in their NCAA tournament run.  Opelika-Auburn News
  • On March 30, Auburn softball lost 4-3 to Florida at Jane B. Moore Field as Florida scored four runs in a breakout third inning, while Auburn’s late rally fell short — the Tigers will travel to Lexington for a series against the Wildcats starting Friday at 5:30 p.m. CST.  The Auburn Plainsman
